For over 60 years Daugherty Construction has been building a better Columbia. As a third generation Columbia based business Daugherty Construction's goal is to deliver high quality homes, and provide each client a positive and enjoyable experience. We strive to bring our personal values of honesty, integrity, service and hard work to all our jobs. A focus on innovation and evolution of process and product is important in the building industry, and we seek to bring those ideals to every project.

Our Team
Owner & President Scott is the President of Daugherty Construction. He holds a degree from Columbia College, and chose to follow in the footsteps of his grandfather, Fritz, and father, Jack, making him a third generation builder and developer in Columbia. Scott's goal is to deliver high quality homes, and provide each client with a positive and enjoyable experience. Scott is hand-on throughout the process and his knowledge of the building process is seen in each project.
Owner Jack has been a developer and contractor in Columbia for over 40 years. In addition to building custom homes, Jack started the concept of villas in Columbia developed the Country Club Villas, Sedona Villas, the Villas at Vintage Falls and Bristol Lake Villas. He now works side by side with Scott to continue building and developing throughout Columbia.
Office and Design Manager Shawntay came to Daugherty Construction in 2012. She is a native Missourian and holds a degree from Missouri State University. You will encounter Shawntay throughout the building and design process, both in the office and on the jobsite. She loves collaborating with clients to create the home of their dreams.
Construction Patterson joined Daugherty Construction in 2008. He performs a variety of jobs throughout the building process, from forming foundations to finishing work.
Realtor Erin has been working as a realtor since 2005 and holds the SRES designation. The SRES designation (Senior Real Estate Specialist) makes her a great resource for buyers looking to make pro-active decisions about their living situation post retirement. Erin is also a CRS PRO (Certified Residential Specialist) candidate and was voted the 2014 Realtor of the Year in Columbia!
